Wedding Stuff (sorta)

After finding the perfect person to make my dress (http://www.yvettes.net/SherrisWeddingGown.html), I've been making the girdle and trying out designs for the trim. Here are some pictures:

On the Loom

This the piece on the loom. I'm using a Mirrix (http://www.mirrixlooms.com/) 16" loom that I love very much. I have since also bought a smaller, more portable loom that I will probably make future projects on, also. The beads I'm using are Delicas. The warp thread on the loom is Fireline Smoke 10lb Test (very strong, perfect for a tapestry loom) and the weft threads are Nymo B in whatever shade of light tan I can find.

Color Swatch and Trim

The swatch on the right was made to make sure there was enough contrast between the colors I selected for the belt. The one on the left is a beaded netting sample of the trim, but I don't care for it and it's not flexible enough for what I need it for. Today I am going to try something different.

My Work Area

My work area by the fireplace. I can see the TV, I have good light, and I can lean over and kiss Paul when he's on the couch behind me. You can also see my rhino, who along with Pan, guard my work when I'm not there.
