You Are an Afternoon Person

You can find energy any time of the day ... or night! You prefer to be out and about when most other people are. Very early mornings or very late nights aren't really your thing. You're practically solar powered, and the afternoon is when do best.

Are You a Morning Person or Night Person?

I guess this is right. It takes me a while to get going on intellectual stuff, my problem solving abilities seem to peak in the afternoons.

Today's the day! In a few minutes I'm leaving for the hall to start getting ready and get stuff all set up.

Less Than 2 Weeks!

And I haven't finished any of the beadwork, nor am I prepared to sew it onto the dress this week like I had hoped. Last night I was distracted by pretty silk yarn. Damn you pretty silk yarn! I did work on the belt some, got about 2 sq. inches done, but I need to do way better than that and I still have to finish the trim. It's also time to get my hair done, but that will take 3 hours out of my beading time this week. Plus tomorrow after work I go talk to Russ about Av's ring. All I really want to be doing right now is beading, but I have to be here at work.

Went to John and Sherree's wedding over the weekend. It was nice and it was good to see some people I haven't seen in years.

Work is calling.

I'm still going...

4 square inches done on the girdle last night, I'm up to 60" long, total. I can do 4 sq. in. in about 2 hours. Today at lunch I did about 6" of trim. Not bad.

Tonight we are meeting with the caterer and the site coordinators for our final face to face consultation before the wedding day. Av will finally get all of his questions about money and top shelf bar answered and Mindy and I will get to sample food. Yum! 16 days to go!

I watched Bridezillas last night. I'm taking lessons on how not to act on my wedding day. :-)

Getting closer....

I don't have any more pictures right now, but I have made progress on the girdle. As of last night I have 57 1-/2" done. Only 26 1/2" to go. It's going to be 7' long and will probably hang to just about mid-thigh. My goal tonight is to do another 3". Since I am working on the ends at the same time, that will mean 1 1/2" per piece tonight.

The dress is done! I'm going to go to Yvette's next week and spend an evening sewing on the trim. I consolidated the two trim pieces I've already made into one piece that is just about long enough to go around the neck. I'll toss together the arm trim later this week. If I just didn't have to work a 'real' job, I'd be done in no time.

We ordered our cake on Saturday. It's going to be shaped like a castle. My brother-in-law is arranging to get our flowers and do some of the arrangements. The color theme is summer flowers and greenery. And my friend Dawn will be taking the pictures. She's awesome!

We are taking 2 weeks off for our honeymoon. The first week we will be in Florida and the second week we are staying home. We are staying at the South Seas resort on Captiva Island, Florida and will be on the beach. I hope it's as nice as the pictures on the website.

At my fitting last Monday I held a piece up to the dress, and it looks awesome! The trim is made using an off-loom technique call 5-bead netting and really quick and easy to do. It takes about an hour and a half to to 18" of trim. I'm using size 11/0 glass seed beads for the trim which are larger and rounder than the Delicas I'm using for the girdle. The gold beads on both pieces are actual 24 carat gold plated glass and look like solid gold beads.

Yvette says the dress is almost done, the last thing she needs to do is the hem!

Today I'm going to work some more on the girdle. I've been really slacking on it lately.
